Recruitment Process

Selecting the right people in the first place is critical to our ongoing success and retention levels. The HR processes in place ensure a competency based selection process which centres on skills, civil experience and cultural fit to our organisation


When you apply for a position with Cut & Fill you can expect to be treated with respect, free from discrimination and in a timely manner regardless of whether your application is successful or not.

Our Recruitment and Selection Process
requires and involves:

  • Applications:
    All applications must be submitted with a current resume. To support your application we also recommend submitting a covering note highlighting why the applicable position is suited to you.
  • An Interview:
    All candidates are usually interviewed by two Cut & Fill employees. Prior to the closing of interviews, the candidate will be informed of the subsequent process and whether a 2nd interview will be required.

  • Validation Checks
    This includes a minimum of two reference checks and a qualification check. Check may also include a Police Check and or Department of Immigration & Citizenship check if deemed appropriate.
  • Pre Employment Medicals.
    All offers of employment that are entered into by Cut & Fill are subject to our Pre Employment Policy and as such all potential employees must complete a pre-employment medical assessment so to ensure they are capable of safely undertaking the proposed position. (This includes a drug & alcohol screen).
  • Appointment & Induction
    A structured induction process is developed for all new employees together with their direct manager and the HR Division.
